Jackman

Kaylyn R. Jackman, O.D.

Dr. Kaylyn Jackman, optometrist, is a native of Elmwood, Nebraska. Dr. Jackman specializes in post-operative care of eye surgical patients, co-management of glaucoma and refractions. Dr. Jackman received her Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. She received post-graduate training at Illinois Eye Institute, Easter Seals and Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind. Dr. Jackman is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Nebraska Optometric Association.

Dr. Jackman and her husband, Thom, have two children. She enjoys baking, working with the children's ministry at her church and traveling.

Pan

David S. Pan, M.D.

Dr. David Pan graduated from Seattle University magna cum laude. He received his medical doctor degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, graduating with honors. He completed his preliminary internship in internal medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine Queens Hospital Center. He then completed his ophthalmology residency training at St. Vincent's Hospital of New York Medical College and the prestigious Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary of Harvard Medical School. After residency, he remained at Harvard to complete a Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellowship, training in the most advanced techniques in retinal surgery, including the use of intraocular gases, silicone oil, perfluorocarbon liquids, scleral buckles, endoscopic vitrectomies and open sky vitrectomies.

Dr. Pan's memberships include the American Board of Ophthalmology, board eligible, specializing in vitreoretinal surgery and the treatment of retinal and macular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. He is also a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Lancaster County Medical Society, Nebraska Medical Association and Nebraska Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. David Pan graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. He has performed in numerous benefit concerts raising thousands of dollars. In addition to playing to piano, he also enjoys hiking, biking and spending time with his wife, Laura. He is fluent in Chinese and Taiwanese. He and Laura welcomed their first child in January 2012.

Sauberan

Donald P. Sauberan, M.D.

Donald P. Sauberan, M.D. specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin.  He served in the United States Air Force as a General Medical Officer at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, AZ.  He then completed his Ophthalmology residency at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in San Antonio, TX. He then served as a general ophthalmologist at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, NE. After his military service, he completed his Pediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship at Children’s Mercy Hospitals & Clinics in Kansas City, MO.

Dr. Sauberan is board certified through the American Board of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus, Nebraska Medical Association, Lancaster County Medical Society, and the Nebraska Academy of Eye Physicians & Surgeons.

Dr. Sauberan is also a member of the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG), a group of academic and private practice ophthalmologists who conduct research on pediatric eye disorders. 

Dr. Sauberan enjoys geocaching with his family and following Green Bay Packers football.  He resides in Lincoln with his wife and four children.

Chruscicki

Daniel A. Chruscicki, MD

Dr. Daniel Chruscicki recently joined Eye Surgical Associates. He is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in vitreoretinal surgery and the treatment of retinal and macular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.

Dr. Daniel Chruscicki earned his medical doctor degree from SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine on Long island, NY and also completed his Internal Medicine Internship year at Stony Brook Hospital on Long Island. After his internship year, he went on to complete residency in ophthalmology at the prestigious Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, serving as chief resident during his last year. Dr. Chruscicki also completed a surgically intensive fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retinal Specialists, Nebraska Medical Association, Lancaster County Medical Society, Nebraska Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and various other organizations.

Dr. Chruscicki is a primary investigator for the Diabetic Retinopathy Clinic Research Network. He will be participating in cutting-edge clinical trials involving the treatment of diabetic retinopathy.

Dr. Chruscicki is very excited to return to Nebraska to assist and treat those in need of his services. He enjoys jogging, swimming, playing guitar and spending time with his wife, Keri, and their two dogs. In addition, he is a Husker fan and hopes to attend as many games as possible!

 

Wood

Matthew H. Wood, M.D.

Dr. Matthew Wood, a Lincoln native, is board-certified and specializes in diseases of the retina and vitreous. He received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine and completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Virginia Health System. Dr Wood then specialized in retina and vitreous with a fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Wood joined Eye Surgical Associates in 2004. He is a third generation ophthalmologist, following his father, Larry, and grandfather, Maynard, in practice in Nebraska.

Dr. Wood is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Nebraska Medical Association, Lancaster County Medical Society, the Nebraska Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and the American Society of Retina Specialists. Dr. Wood serves as an examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology.  Dr. Wood has been the principle investigator in multiple clinical trials investigating new treatments in Age Related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, Retinal Vascular Disease, and Uveitis and continues to conduct clinical research at Eye Surgical Associates. 

Dr. Wood and his wife, Tracy, have three children. He enjoys cooking, skiing and spending time with his family.
