Matthew Wood, M.D.

Dr. Matt Wood, a native of Lincoln, is board certified and specializes in diseases of the Retina and Vitreous. He received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine and completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Virginia Health System. Dr. Wood then specialized in Retina and Vitreous with a fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Dr Wood joined Eye Surgical Associates in 2004 and has clinic and performs surgery in Lincoln. He is a third generation ophthalmologist, following his father Larry and grandfather Maynard in practice in Lincoln. Dr. Wood and his wife Tracy have two children. He enjoys biking, hiking, skiing, tennis, golf and spending time with his family.

Dr. Wood is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, Nebraska Medical Association, Lancaster County Medical Society, the Nebraska Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
