David S. Pan, M.D.
Dr. David Pan graduated from Seattle University magna cum laude. He received his medical doctor degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, graduating with honors. He completed his preliminary internship in internal medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine Queens Hospital Center. He then completed his ophthalmology residency training at St. Vincent's Hospital of New York Medical College and the prestigious Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary of Harvard Medical School. After residency, he remained at Harvard to complete a Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellowship, training in the most advanced techniques in retinal surgery, including the use of intraocular gases, silicone oil, perfluorocarbon liquids, scleral buckles, endoscopic vitrectomies and open sky vitrectomies.
Dr. Pan's memberships include the American Board of Ophthalmology, board eligible, specializing in vitreoretinal surgery and the treatment of retinal and macular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. He is also a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Lancaster County Medical Society, Nebraska Medical Association and Nebraska Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr. David Pan graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. He has performed in numerous benefit concerts raising thousands of dollars. In addition to playing to piano, he also enjoys hiking, biking and spending time with his wife, Laura. He is fluent in Chinese and Taiwanese. He and Laura welcomed their first child, a son, in January 2012.
